Safeguarding Framework

Safeguarding is central to the work of Guided Futures Advocacy.

Guided Futures Advocacy operates in alignment with national safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and recognised best practice frameworks relating to the protection and wellbeing of vulnerable adults, including:

Care Act 2014 (Safeguarding Adults)
• Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Human Rights Act 1998
• Equality Act 2010
• Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014
• Relevant Local Safeguarding Adults Board Procedures
• Care Quality Commission (CQC) Fundamental Standards

All practitioners operate under clear safeguarding procedures designed to ensure that concerns relating to an individual's safety, wellbeing, dignity, rights, and quality of support are appropriately identified, documented, risk assessed, and acted upon.

Guided Futures Advocacy adopts a preventative safeguarding approach focused on early identification of concerns, independent oversight, professional accountability, and timely intervention where risks are identified.

Where safeguarding concerns are identified, Guided Futures Advocacy follows appropriate safeguarding procedures and works collaboratively with local authorities, care providers, healthcare professionals, families, and other relevant agencies.

The safety, dignity, wellbeing, rights, and long-term outcomes of vulnerable adults remain central to all professional observations, safeguarding decisions, and recommendations.
